2/10/11 Weaver Valley Road Race, 50miles, Cheshire.

WIN!!! 4 riders from the team rode as a solid unit, making it a win at the start of the racing season! and finishing it with a win at the end! this time it was Martin who sprinted to victory with the help of Nick, Rob and George. Another excellent team result for the weekend!

2/10/11 Team Midland, 10miles, Balsall Common.

Who would of believed that the last time trial of the year(in October!) for the team would of saw Chris and Simon riding 10miles in temperatures in the high 20 degrees!! Both riders got into the top 10 placing's with Simon 8th 23.13 and Chris 6th with 22.42. An excellent finish to the year!

25/9/11 Warwickshire RC, Hill climbs, Midland SPOCO Series.

Chris rode this double hill climb event the 1st held up Saintbury climb and the 2nd up Dovers hill both in the Cotswolds. Making this event harder for Chris was the fact he had recently had surgery on his hand, incredibly he managed 17th overall with the combined times set and some vital points in the Midland SPOCO series which he finished 4th overall.

24/9/11 Coventry RC, 10miles, Princethorpe.

Not much between all of the riders lately and the same happened today, Simon did 22.45 and Martin 22.58.

18/9/11 Banbury Star, 25miles, Princethorpe.

Simon's 1st race since his holiday, came in with a time of 59.42 which gave him a 12th place overall on a very breezy day.

17/9/11 V.C.Sevale(Malvern), 10miles, Severn Stoke.

George's fine form continues in this 10mile time trial and he secures 5th position with another 22.33.

11/9/11 Redditch Road & Path CC, Cyclo Cross, Redditch.

Another double racing weekend for George but this time back on the rough terrain, 10th place.

10/9/11 Echelon Cycles/VTTA, 10miles, Dunnington, Nr.Alcester.

Only 3 seconds split George and Martin over 10miles and it was George who was quicker with 22.38 and Martin 22.41.

6/9/11 GWR/Team Swindon, Mid-week cyclo cross league.

George has switched to his other talent on a bike and that is cyclo-cross, 8th place for the 1st one of the year.

4/9/11 VTTA(S.Wales) 25miles, Resolven.

PB's today for both Martin and George, George, having rode the day before managed 54.40, and Martin 56.24 knocking two minutes of his previous best.

3/9/11 Leamington C&AC, 10miles, Princethorpe.

George 1st event of the weekend was a 14th position in a strong field of riders with a time of 22.33.

16/8/11 Bicester Millenium CC,4-up TTT, 10miles, Bicester.

A change of rider from the 4-up on the 7th August, saw Martin swap with Matt for this 4 lap circuit of RAF Weston-On-The-Green. The team rode home to 3rd position with a time of 21.57.

13/8/11 Coventry CC, Midland SPOCO Series, 25miles, Princethorpe.

Chris scored some well earned points in this series helped by a 9th place position with a time of 59.00.

9/8/11 Bromsgrove Olympique Crit Races, Stourport.

George was an excellent 3rd in this fast and furious evening event.

7/8/11 SCCA 4-up 50km TTT, Edgmond, Shropshire.

Nick, George, Simon and Matt, teamed up for this event, whilst warming up for the event Nick punctured and was unable to change his wheel in time for the start of the race, the lads managed to pull off a stunning ride with a time of 1.10.55 which was good enough for 4th place.

30/7/11 Rugby RCC , 10miles, Rugby.

Matt finished 10th in this event with a time of 21.55.

17/7/11 Biobike Midland DC Champs, 10miles, Salford Priors.

A tough days racing strong winds and rain, I should know i was helping out along with Steff, stood on an island for over 2hrs directing the riders at the final island before the finish. Nick flew round in 22.10 which gave him 14th position overall, next Chris with 22.44, and Martin with 22.57. New junior for the team was Alex Teagle, in his first open time trial saw him produce a personal best time of 25.28.

16/7/11 Bromsgrove Olympique CC, 10miles, Dunnington, Nr.Alcester.

Chris Halford 9th with 23.11.

10/7/11 Warwicks RC, 25miles, Salford Priors, Nr Alcester.

Another top ten placing for Chris and not far off the time he recorded last week, 9th position overall with 57.16.

9/7/11 East London Velo, 10miles, Six Mile Bottom, Nr cambridge.

A long trip for Martin and Simon, Simon was in the middle markers section of the time trial and recorded a personal best time of 22.03, an excellent 2nd place overall and would of put him 18th in the main field, Martin's time was 23.15.

2+3/7/11 Masters Track Championships, Newport, South Wales.

Representing MJS were Rob,Martin and Mark making his debut for the team. Rob in the 30-34 age group took 7th position in the 15km scratch race, rob was at the head of the bunch going into the final lap but couldn't hold off the fast sprinters, in the 15km scratch in the 35-39 age group Martin finished 4th and the photo finish showed he was only a couple of inches from a bronze medal.

Mark's debut for the team was in the 3km pursuit in the 35-39 age group, Mark finished 11th and with Martin in the same event finishing 9th.Rob also finished 9th in his 30-34 age group 3km pursuit.

3/7/11 Walsall Roads CC, 25miles, Fradley, Staffordshire.

An early rise for chris took him to the known fast K16 course, chris's first open 25 saw him get a PB of 56.28 and 8th place overall, an excellent ride considering Chris had raced late evening the day before.

2/7/11 Leamington C&AC, 10miles, Princethorpe, Warwickshire.

An evening ten for Chris and George, both finished in the top ten, Chris 7th 22.48 and george not far behind 9th with 22.53.

23/6/11 Warrington RC 4-up, 25miles, Warrington.

The first of the season for team testing saw Nick,Martin,George and Simon compete against some good teams who were using this event as a tester before the National 3-up Championships at the start of July. The teams time of 56.55 was just shy of a top ten place. 11th overall.

18/6/11 Mid Summer Meeting, Newcastle-under-lyme, Stafforsdshire.

Rob and Martin were both competing in this open track event which is good preperation for the masters championships at the begining of July. With some very good riders Rob manged an excellent 13th place in the National Hard Track Endurance League 20 kilometre scratch race, which shows signs of good racing form.

18/6/11 Kent Valley RC, 10miles, Levens, cumbria.

Matt made the long trip up north for another saturday evening ten, off at 19.35 who had to endure some torrential rain and breezy conditions but still managed a very quick time of 21.48, hopefully one day he will get float conditions on this super quick course on its day!

18/6/11 Worcester St.Johns CC, 28miles, Midland SPOCO event, Inkberrow.

Nick and Chris were both competing in the latest round of the SPOCO series, Nick had a puncture not long into the event and had to retire but Chris made the top ten with a time of 1hour 11mins and 31secs, which gave him 8th place overall.

12/6/11 Shirley RC, 50miles, Salford Priors, Nr.Alcester.

Simons first ever 50mile TT, and one he will remember with very wet and very windy conditions, simon still managed an excellent time of 2hrs 4mins and 28seconds.

11/6/11 Redditch Road And Path CC, 10miles, Salford Priors, Nr.Alcester.

5/6/11 Oxford City RC, 10miles, Oxford.

Chris was the only rider to travel down to Oxford for this early sunday time trial, conditions were more favourable than that on this course a few weeks ago, Chris's time was 22.47.

4/6/11 Heanor Clarion CC, 10miles, Etwall, Derbyshire.

An evening 10 on a well known fast course on its day, unfortunately it was not so times were a little down on previous rides, Nick's time was 22.06 and put him in the top 20 with 18th place and martin not too far behind with 22.53.

29/5/11 WWW.Echelon-Cycles.co.uk, 23miles, Midland SPOCO series, Weston, Stafforshire.

This event was another counter towards the season long Midland SPOCO series, Chris was our only representative and the conditions were the same as the day before on pretty much the same roads. Chris was 16th in 58minutes 54 seconds.

28/5/11 WWW.Echelon-Cycles.co.uk, 10miles,Weston, Staffordshire.

A top ten place for Chris on a horrible day for racing with strong winds and damp conditions, 9th overall in a time of 24.02.

22/5/11 SRI Chinmoy, 10miles, Witney, Oxforsdshire.

An early start for 4 of the team today, and the wind never died down from yesterday, so another tough day's race. This was the first time any of the team had ridden this fairly new course and it possibly has good potential to be quick on a good day. Quickest for the team was Nick with 19th place and a time of 23.07 then Simon 23.56, Chris with his 2nd race of the weekend 24.45 and martin 24.55, hopefully next time any of the team decide to race on this course the conditions will be more favourable.

21/5/11 Beacon RCC, 10miles, Salford Priors, Nr.Evesham.

To say it was a windy day is an understatement! it was blowing a gale and on the K33 course there is very little shelter from the wind, so a tough day for both Matt and Chris. Matt finished an excellent 15th with a time of 23.05 and Chris not far behind with 23.48.

15/5/11 Birmingham CC Crits, 55km, Birmingham Business Parks.

Nick and Martin were the only two from the team in this 60 rider race, Nick was active getting away with a couple of others for 3 laps midway through but the bunch reeled them in. Martin however hoped the bunch would stay together for a sprint, which it did, unfortunately he got boxed in and when he mananged to get passed and give it some gas it was a little late, but still managed a top 15 place.

14/5/11 Ludlow CC 10, Shropshire.

Chris's first time on this course and one he might not forget in a while, the cross wind made it exceptionally hard going and in chris's words " I never even used the ski's" (tri-bars) meant that it  must of been a strong wind. Anyway Chris managed 11th place overall with a time of 22.48.

1/5/11 Ogmore Valley Wheelers 25, Wales.

A very windy day for a 25 on a quite exposed course. Matt still managed to power his way to a 56.51, his 1st 25 of the year.

30/4/11 Coventry CC, 10miles, princethorpe, Nr.Coventry.

TEAM WIN, Nick 23.05, Chris 23.31 and Martin 23.40 secured the team there first team win of the season in a field of top quality riders.

24/4/11 Beacon Roads CC, Little Mountain Time Trial, GreatWitley.

This year the course had to be changed due to roadwork's close to the nice climb of Ankerdine, this resulted in a sort of two lap circuit taking in Stanford bank twice, taking the length of the course to 41 miles about 2miles longer than the original. Si finished in a time of  2.09.03, Chris didn't finish due to illness.

22/4/11 City RC (Hull), 10 miles.

Matt made the long journey up north and was rewarded with excellent conditions and got himself a new PB with 20.32!

22/4/11 Good Friday International  Meeting, National Cycling Centre, Manchester.

Rob 5th in the Ron Beckett scratch race. This meeting is usually held at Herne Hill in London but the organisors changed the venue to the indoor velodrome in Manchester.

10/4/11 Derby Mercury 10miles, Etwall, Derbyshire.

Matt was up and about when it was still dark for this event, an early kick off of 7.01am for the 1st rider. Matts time of 22.36 was enough to get in the top ten with 9th overall.

10/4/11 Warwicks RC 28miles, Midland SPOCO event, Inkberrow.

MJS were out in force today with 4 riders racing, this is a two lap circuit which has some short sharp climbs, long drags and some fast descents which makes it an exciting circuit, nick was quickest for the team with 1.09.34, then chris 1.10.32, si 1.12.25 which was nearly 3minutes off last years time and george in 1.14.26.

3/4/11 Elizabethan CC, 21miles, Midland SPOCO event, Bridgnorth.

This was Chris's first time at this tough event, Chris came home 5th overall with a time of 54 minutes which is an excellent ride.

3/4/11 Darley Moor Criterium, 55km, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

George competed again today this time in a crit race,an un eventful race saw george finish safely in the bunch.

2/4/11 Echelon-VTTA (Mids) 10miles, Princethorpe, Nr.Coventry.

3 riders in this event with Chris coming in with the fastest time of 22.25 for the team with George next with 22.55 and then Martin 23.21 for his 1st ride of the season. conditions were slightly chilly and quite a stiff breeze to contend with.

26/3/11 V.C.Sevale (Malvern) 10 miles, Severn Stoke, Nr.Kempsey.

1st time trials of the year for Nick, Matt and George, the course is an undulating and it was a chilly day, compared to the few days before it. Matt was quickest from the team with 23.23 then Nick with 23.47 and George with 24.35.

26/3/11 Darley Moor criterium, 55km, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

Rob Bishop finished comfortably in the bunch, 10 riders made a break from the bunch with 11laps to go, Rob tried his hardest to get across to them but as MJS's lone rider it was hard going trying to get others from the bunch to work.

12/3/11 Stourbridge Velo, 22 miles, Midland SPOCO event, Bobbington, Shropshire.

Round 4 of the series took Chris to a two lap circuit which passes Bobbington airfield. Chris's time was 55.59.

5/3/11 Wrekinsport CC, 18 miles, SPOCO Series event, Bridgnorth.

Chris Halford put on his MJS kit for the 1st time this season. The wrekinsport event being the 2nd event of the Midlands SPOCO series. Chris had mixed fortunes during his ride notably thick fog and rain on one section making visibility hard going. Chris rode to a time of 46.20.

30/1/11 BUCS Champs, Durham.

George bate rode the BUCS (British Universities And College Sport) championships in Durham and finished a superb 7th and his university (Cambridge) won the team gold.

28/1/11 Manchester Friday Track League.

Win!!!!  Rob Bishop repeated exactly what he did last season and take the teams 1st win of 2011 at a friday night track league race.It was also the 1st time the newly designed racing kit had been raced.
